About the California Gourd Society |

There are approximately 500 members of CGS including world-famous artists, musicians, teachers and authors. California farmers grow and ship gourds throughout the world. CGS has over 20 "Gourd Patches" located throughout California. These are local groups that meet at least quarterly to serve the interests of members within their geographic regions. The local coordinators of these groups schedule classes, seminars, art shows and other activities. Click here to find a patch in your area. A quarterly newsletter, "The Golden Gourd," is published is one of the membership benefits. Articles about gourd art, horticulture, a quarterly calendar of classes and events keep members informed about gourd events in California and throughout the United States.
